Biography
Wane Clarke is a community-rooted leader whose life has been shaped by service, skill, and unwavering commitment to the people of Lambeau and Lowlands. Born and raised in Lambeau Village, he began his journey at Lambeau Anglican School, later training in carpentry at Bon Accord Trade School and refining his craft as a bespoke tailor in Trinidad-skills that reflect discipline, creativity, and self-reliance.
Fondly known as "the man with the sting in the tail," Wane is a proud Lambeau sportsman and lifelong mentor. He represented Tobago in football under Coach Bertille St. Clair and has spent more than two decades coaching at schools and clubs across the island, including Lambeau Anglican and Mason Hall Secondary. His work in sport has always centred on discipline, confidence, and opportunity for young people.
A passionate advocate for youth development, Wane founded the Lambeau Youth Sport Foundation and launched the Tobago Early Childhood Games, expanding participation from six to twenty-one schools in 2025 alone. His service has also extended through the Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport, where he has worked with heart and purpose to strengthen communities.
Elected as Area Representative for Lambeau / Lowlands, Wane Clarke continues to see politics as an extension of his lifelong service to people.
