Biography

Ian "Whitey" Pollard is a proud son of Mason Hall, the sixth of eight children, and a lifelong servant of his community. A devoted husband, father of two, and grandfather of one, his nearly five decades of service reflect leadership rooted in discipline, teamwork, and deep respect for people.

Ian's leadership journey began early. At just nine years old, he led Tobago's Cub Scouts to the first Caribbean Cuboree in Barbados. Educated at Mason Hall Government Primary, Scarborough Secondary, and Signal Hill Senior Comprehensive, he distinguished himself in sport and leadership. A standout footballer, he played for Invaders Youths and Mason Hall Cosmos, won national championships, and later coached Mason Hall United. His talent earned him a football scholarship to the University of New Haven, Connecticut, where he graduated with dual degrees in Accounting and Economics, along with an Associate Degree in Finance.

Professionally, Ian has served as an accountant, financial manager, entrepreneur, land developer, and advisor to the Minister of Tobago Development. His career spans the Tobago Taxi Co-operative, the THA Marketing Division, and the Office of the Minority Leader, bringing practical financial and policy expertise to public service.

Elected in 2021 as Area Representative for Mason Hall North / Moriah, Ian has focused on land regularisation, community development, and practical initiatives such as the Lend-ah-Initiative, always working to improve everyday life for residents.

As the Tobago People's Party candidate and continuing Area Representative for Mason Hall North / Moriah, Ian "Whitey" Pollard stands firmly with the people. Because Tobago Is We, and with leadership grounded in experience and trust, the anchor holds. For steady representation and real progress, vote Tobago People's Party (TPP).
