Biography
Dr. Faith Brebnor is a proud daughter of Belle Garden, a scholar, public servant, and community advocate who has dedicated her life to improving the health, wellbeing, and opportunities of the people of Tobago.
Raised in Belle Garden, Dr. Brebnor's early years reflected both academic excellence and strong community involvement. Her journey from Belle Garden Anglican School to Roxborough Composite School was shaped by leadership in the Cadet Corps, active participation in steel pan, and a deep commitment to service.
Awarded a scholarship by the Tobago House of Assembly, she pursued higher education abroad, earning degrees in Neuroscience, a Masters and a Doctorate in Public Health (Behavioral and Community Health Sciences) from the University of Pittsburgh. True to her roots, Dr. Brebnor returned home to apply her knowledge and expertise in service of the people of Tobago.
Her professional work has focused on healing, empowerment, and education. Through wellness programmes, community health assessments, life-skills outreach, and her foundation supporting families affected by HIV and fertility challenges, she has consistently placed people at the centre of her work.
Dr. Brebnor's political leadership has been both decisive and historic. As Secretary of Health, Wellness and Social Protection and later Deputy Chief Secretary, she helped lead Tobago through the COVID-19 pandemic-overseeing vaccine access, strengthening rural healthcare delivery, protecting the elderly, and advocating for greater autonomy and resources for Tobago.
A Deputy Political Leader of the Tobago People's Party, Dr. Brebnor currently serves as the Assemblyman for Belle Garden/Glamorgan. She is widely regarded as accessible, principled, and results-driven-committed to practical solutions and real progress for her community.
As the Tobago People's Party candidate and continuing Area Representative for Belle Garden / Glamorgan, Dr. Faith Brebnor continues to stand as a champion for her community-working alongside residents to build a healthier, stronger, and more empowered Tobago.
